MTC Week 4

Kumusta!!!
I am officially half way done with the MTC!!! Ah it is crazy, but feels pretty good. I am finally getting in the routine of things and my body is more used to the lack of sleep. This week has been pretty good and I am totally getting better at Tagalog. During one of the lessons we taught this week, we were trying to help our investigator feel the spirit, but he said he still hadn't, but we just continued on with our lesson on repentance and at the end I bore my testimony about it and I totally started to cry, I felt the spirit so strongly and I was able to remember a lot of Tagalog and tell him what I knew about repentance and then as we were leaving he said that he felt the spirit! It was so cool. And definitely my favorite lesson so far.
So some things I have forgotten mention is that a couple Saturday's ago, while sister Harris and I were getting ready for bed, I got a really bad bloody nose and it pretty much just gushed blood for like 20 minutes. It was nasty. But Sister Harris took good care of me ;). I think I got it because I was really stressed that  week and hadn't been drinking a lot of water....oops. Also at the beginning of this week I was sick with like a sore throat and runny nose and I just felt super weak. It was not fun, but I got over it pretty quickly, I think I have just stressed my body out a little bit, but I am feel much better now.
Anyway. On Sunday we had choir practice and like over 1,000 missionaries showed up because they knew that we will be singing in a couple weeks, so there were hoards of people there. Ha it was probably half the MTC. Towards the end of our practice, the choir director asked how many of us had had dinner and maybe 300 people raised their hands. So the cafeteria was a mad house after choir...even worse than fast Sunday. It was crazy.
Tuesday night was SO cool because we got to go over to the Marriot Center for the devotional. There were TONS of missionaries and it was so cool to be apart of that. We sang again in that devotional and were totally on the screen again and our speaker was amazing!!!!! It was Sister and (Elder?) Arnold of the 70. When he started his talk, he talked about a few weeks ago or something when they all met with the 1st presidency in the temple and he was asked to pray to open the meeting. He told us that he prayed sincerely for all the missionaries and then told us about President Monson.
He said that Pres. Monson is also very concerned and thoughtful of the missionaries. He testified to us that President Monson loves us so much and I got chills all over my body. I really could feel the love he had for us and it was so cool. The rest of his talk was also amazing and was a really good pep talk. He said that we have a huge responsibility, but if we remember who we are, remember our purpose, understand our callings, and be obedient, we will be great missionaries. He also shared the scripture Jacob 1:9 about how important it is to really be a good missionary and work hard so that you don't have any regrets on your mission. It was so good.
So this week, one of our teachers, Bro. Nicholes, went to China, so we got 2 more teachers that alternate days. One of the new teachers, Brother Calder, said he went on his mission to Quezon City, and so I asked if he knew Carlos (Morgan) and he said Carlos was his district leader!! So be sure to tell Carlos for me. But anyways, I really like that we've been able to have so many teachers because they all have different takes and different advice to give us.
Well I love you guys and I hope dad has a good father's day and a good last day being bishop! I love him so much and I am so glad he was able to still be the bishop when I left :)
